4-brayer-with-wooden-handle
4" Brayer with Wooden Handle

This 4" (120mm wide/50mm) Brayer is from German manufacturer ABIG. I have been using their brayers for roughly 5 years, when I just happened to find some at an art store in Portland. I fell in love with the quality and price, but struggled to find more available in the United States. I wanted it to be the brayer in my printmaking kit, so I made the leap to bring it in myself.

This brayer handles both oil and water-based inks well, and I have yet to have the issue where the brayer becomes "Tacky" when using oil-based ink. If you have encountered this issue with other commonly available brayers on the market, you know what I am talking about.

Cleaning and maintenance is easy. You will want to make sure you clean off the ink from all parts of the brayer after printing (including edges). The red color of the brayer will slowly stain over time when printing with dark ink. For me, this usually occurs after about 1.5-3 years of use. This does not impact the usability of the brayer.

Brayer is roughly 4" and has an attached flat iron stand. I also brought in 2" and 6" sizes. If there is interest, I may bring in other sizes as well.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0892/7386/0395/files/rn-image_picker_lib_temp_ce6ed26c-a3ec-4241-b618-3bffd660364c.jpg?v=1774127625
