In my opion, this is essential to have on hand if you are using Cranfield inks, and like me, prefer to hoard every scrap of ink instead of throwing away leftover ink. If you have seen my videos with my tin foil packets of inks, I use the Safewash oil when the ink packets get too stiff. Sometimes I use it when the ink from the tube is stiffer than I like (this is common with the opaque white). I have been able to zombie revive cranfield ink that spent 2.5 years wrapped in aluminum foil using this oil. One can goes a long way. I use just a couple of drops each time I need it.
This ink is my current favorite for oil based ink. I love that it comes in tubes, and that they stay good to use for a really long time after mixing. I save all leftover mixed ink in tin foil packets and have had them last multiple years and still be usable.
Some inks (and left over ink packets) might not be at the perfect viscosity for your project, and it is really easy to adjust them by adding in more Safewash Oil. I have yet to have to thicken my inks up from this brand, but it is possible.
This is for the Safewash oil in the 250ml can.
