Lady Hana - Reductive 7-layer Relief Print - Original Artwork

This started as a sketch alone in a bar sipping an IPA and ended up as a multilayer labor of love. Sometimes sketches demand to turn into something elaborate, and this was one of those time. Hana is such a gorgeous cat with a very elegant personality, so I always think of her as a fancy little lady. This piece took over 3 months to carve and print and was finished March 2023. I am so happy with the results and hope you love her as well.

This piece is a reductive Relief Print, which means that the block is destroyed as I work on the piece. As such the edition is very limited and only 29 pieces printed in the edition. I was limited in space and funds from creating a larger original edition, so I wanted to also offer Giclee prints so that it is more accessible.

Since each piece in the edition is hand printed there are some minor marks and differences in each piece. I printed on a couple of different weights and colors of paper. Finally, the ink is just about dry, but is not completely ready to ship. the shipping times have a longer ship window due to this, but I will ship as soon as possible once they are safe to ship.
